Indoor tanning lotions are an essential component in achieving the beautiful, bronze tan you desire. These products use ingredients that replenish moisture in your skin that has been depleted during the tanning process. Moist skin will not only tan darker, but it will tan more quickly and extend the life of your tan.
Some lotions have added ingredients that promote the natural production of melanin in the skin or increase blood flow (tingle factor) to the skin, thereby increasing the AMOUNT of melanin brought to the top layers of the skin.
Bronzers (DHA, caramel or walnut extracts) to name a few, may also be added to lotions giving the appearance of a deeper, darker tan.
